Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to announce and invite registrations for the 2025 Champalimaud Colorectal Cancer Conference, scheduled for 20 & 21 February, 2025.
This year, we will focus on cutting-edge advancements in rectal cancer treatment, with a special emphasis on the 'straight to surgery' approach—identifying patients who can safely avoid neoadjuvant therapy without compromising oncological outcomes.
Additionally, we will explore the ongoing evolution of minimally invasive techniques and their impact on the patient's quality of life, even on complex cases, such as lateral compartment resections in rectal cancer and D3 lymphadenectomy in colon cancer. The established benefits of the Watch-and-Wait strategy for carefully selected patients with low rectal cancer will also be discussed, highlighting the importance of rigorous selection criteria and specialised programmes.
Main Conference (20 & 21 February, 2025): Two full days of engaging discussions and expert-led sessions, featuring renowned international specialists who will address key questions shaping presente and future practice. Topics will include rectal cancer treatment, minimally invasive procedures, and emerging strategies in oncological outcomes.
Call for Abstracts for the Poster Sessions
We invite researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to submit their abstracts and share their innovative research, clinical insights, and advancements in colorectal cancer treatment. Selected abstracts will have the opportunity for three minute oral presentations in relevant poster sessions.
